Our belief in public media as a means to a more informed, just and inclusive society drives Public Radio Capital to focus on critical issues—namely asset building and diversity. Gifts large and small have allowed PRC to make a big impact—helping to shape new and improved public radio service for communities from coast to coast.

Our clients are making a difference every day:

  • Latinos in California’s central valley rely on Radio Bilingüe’s network of stations to help immigrant families manage jobs, families, health matters.
  • Citizens in Pittsburgh now have a full time news and information station (90.5 WESA) with the best of NPR and a deeper look at their own region through new programs like Essential Pittsburgh.
  • In West Palm Beach, viewers of WXEL TV 42 can expect more local news (and a secure nest for Big Bird) now that local ownership and control of the station has been accomplished.

Public Radio Capital is ensuring that local organizations are strong, smart, and sustainable.  Donations that keep our fees affordable make it possible for small stations and even start ups, like Wasatch Public Media and Delaware First Media, to access our services.

With your support, we can bring more in-depth information, unbiased news, diverse music and cultural programming to our local communities nationwide.
